The 2019 – 2020 M.E.T. Student Board launched the M.E.T. Strategy Group (formerly known as Bulletin Board) Spring 2020 to provide students with hands-on industry experience in a peer-to-peer team setting. M.E.T. Strategy Group projects fuse M.E.T. student expertise tackling tasks requiring business and technical analysis for organizations ranging from startups, campus-affiliated groups, nonprofits, and NGOs.
M.E.T. Strategy Group is an in-house program relieving the pressures of joining other campus organizations while still allowing students to feel part of the campus community, enhancing their college experience both professionally and socially. The M.E.T. Strategy Group is not another consulting organization. Andrew Kirillov, 2019-2020 M.E.T. VP of External Affairs, stated, “rather than suggesting solutions, we realize them.”

The entrepreneurial spirit is thriving at UC Berkeley. Rich Lyons, the Chief Innovation and Entrepreneurship Officer at UC Berkeley, led a fireside chat addressing entrepreneurship at Berkeley along with tips and recommendations for future entrepreneurial leaders. The UC Berkeley Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) ecosystem provides opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines to explore. Through academic programs, student organizations, research and events, there are plenty of ways for students to immerse themselves in the I&E community at UC Berkeley.
M.E.T. 2023 students Pedro Pachuca, James Li, and Mason Freeny are the co-founders of SportVue, a start-up aimed at revolutionizing the way sport players train.
Elianna Peng is a sophomore from Anaheim, California, studying mechanical engineering and business in the Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology Program (M.E.T.) at Haas. On campus, she is a member of Berkeley ABA and Enactus. Outside of her professional interests, she enjoys learning about film and psychology, playing sports, and visiting new eateries with friends.
Manav Rathod is a junior studying EECS and Business in the Management, Entrepreneurship, & Technology Program (MET) program planning to graduate in Spring 2021. He is originally from Okemos, Michigan. On campus, Manav is involved in the MET student board, the Metrobot Project, and the Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research (BAIR), as well as serving as a staff member for various computer science classes. Outside of his various professional interests, Manav enjoys reading non-fiction books about tech, learning about human psychology and philosophy, education, leadership, playing board games, and going on walks around campus with his friends.
