Berkeley M.E.T.’s Founding Class reunited this fall to celebrate their achievements and graduation. This reunion took place underneath the Campanile, a UC Berkeley landmark. Celebrating with us were the graduates and their family/friends and program supporters like the M.E.T. Advisory Board and campus dignitaries who helped make M.E.T. happen.

For many, it was the first time since the start of the pandemic that they had been together. The M.E.T. alumni cheerfully greeted each other as if no time had passed. The spirited evening progressed with joy and fanfare. M.E.T.’s Founder, Michael Grimes, addressed the class along with Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost Cathy Koshland, Interim Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education Oliver O’Reilly, Berkeley-Haas Dean Ann E. Harrison, Berkeley Engineering Dean Tsu Jae King-Liu, and faculty Director Dr. Saikat Chaudhuri each providing congratulatory remarks. The M.E.T. Founding Class continues their journeys, including working for industry-leading companies, startups and attending graduate school.
