Ambi Robotics Lab visit, summer 2023
This summer marks the launch of the UC Berkeley Management, Engineering and Technology (M.E.T.) Innovation Academy (M.E.T.ia)! This brand-new summer program is a hands-on residential experience led by top ranked faculty from UC Berkeley’s renowned Haas School of Business and College of Engineering. Have dreams of birthing the next great tech startup? Want to hone your engineering or business skills? Rising juniors and seniors wanting to build their skill set and stack their college resume, start your entrepreneurial journey this summer with M.E.T.ia! This summer, students heard from renowned Berkeley faculty, toured Ambi Robotics Lab, participated in a Google IPO Simulation, visited Dolby Labs in SF, pitched “Shark Tank” style, and much, much more.
What students in the program did:
- Built a strong foundation of engineering and business skills
- Networked with current M.E.T. students and alumni working in the tech industry
- Took field trips to leading tech companies in Silicon Valley such as Ambi Robotics, Dolby Headquarters and more!
- After class, students took on the Bay Area with new friends with outings to professional sporting events and cultural hotspots
- Created an impressive resume and LinkedIn profile to be used for college applications
